Choose the premium IV treatment that is right for you
What To Expect When Receiving An IV Treatment
At our clinic, your health and comfort are our top priorities. When you arrive for your IV infusion, here's what you can expect:
1. Consultation & Health Review
Before we start your IV infusion, one of our trained healthcare professionals will perform a brief consultation to review your health history and any specific goals you have for your treatment. We'll ensure that the infusion is right for you and answer any questions you might have.
2. Day of the IV infusion, it is best to
-
Drink Plenty of Water
Aim to drink at least 8-10 ounces of water in the hours leading up to your IV infusion. Water is the best way to hydrate, so keep sipping regularly throughout the day - Both coffee and alcohol can contribute to dehydration. We recommend the following:
- Avoid alcohol in the 24 hours prior to your infusion.
- Limit caffeine intake on the day of your infusion.
3. IV Insertion
Once we’ve discussed the infusion, we’ll help you get settled in a comfortable recliner or chair. We’ll apply a small band around your arm to make the veins more visible and ensure proper insertion of the IV catheter into a vein. Our staff will use a gentle touch to make the process as comfortable as possible. You may feel a slight pinch when the needle goes in, but it should be brief.
4. Monitoring During the Infusion
While the IV drip is being administered, we’ll monitor you to ensure everything is proceeding smoothly. The infusion typically lasts between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the type of treatment you're receiving. You are welcome to relax, read, or listen to music during the infusion. Our staff will check in with you regularly to make sure you're comfortable.
5. Post-Infusion Care
After your infusion, we'll remove the IV and apply a bandage to the site. You’ll be able to go about your day, but we recommend drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated. If you received vitamins or other nutrients, you may feel energized or more refreshed soon after the treatment.
